In one of our upcoming sessions, Ken Ramey, Portfolio Manager, Strategy and Pursuits will be presenting “Protect Your Identities: Managing User Access Using Oracle Identity and Access Management With Bonus Tuning Tips.”
This session will be directed primarily to Fusion Middleware Product Administrators: Those that may be working on projects that require LDAP integration. EBS Administrators: Those considering the use of Oracle Access Manager for Authentication and Decision Makers: Management personnel evaluating options for authentication, authorization and user management.
As companies grow in today’s market, the need for tighter access control becomes critical to information security. Compliance concerns and reviews drive the need for a repeatable and auditable process of provisioning and managing enterprise users across multiple systems. That said, implementing more layers of security is not enough. Ensuring the overall availability and performance is important to ensure security does not become a bottleneck to end-user productivity.
The Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite provides a host of tools ready to assist the organization in planning, implementation and day-to-day security needs. This presentation will provide attendees with an overview of the tools and utilities for user access, provisioning and managing users through the use of Identity Manager, as well as increasing efficiency across the enterprise by implementing single sign on through Oracle Access Management. Oracle Identity Management and Access Manager have a variety of High Availability configuration options, which will be discussed along with their benefits. In addition, tuning options at the database and in the Middleware Tier will be presented to ensure performance of the enterprise security solution.
After attending this session, you will be able to:
  • Understand the various components within Identity and Access Manager and the relationship between them
  • Determine which components would best fulfill their organizations requirements
  • Summarize end-user and administration improvements in information security such as user provisioning, user management/self service and auditability
  • Discuss potential integration options with EBS and FMW products
  • Gain a basic understanding of configuring and tuning their environment to maximize performance and ensure maximum availability
